Cultural Blueprints was born out of
the
recognition that the arts have had a long history of serving as a vital
catalyst for economic development throughout the state of New York
while at the same time generating new resources which strengthen the
cultural infrastructure of the state. We at NYSCA are committed to new
strategic
partnerships and alliances such that the cultural community continues
to contribute to New York State’s, economic, social and educational
well-being. We invite you to join us in those efforts.
Through
the Cultural Blueprints process, NYSCA has the opportunity to convene a
broad cross section of interests in order to identify and ultimately
act on development strategies that effectively integrate the
arts. New York State, with 19 million residents spread across
47,000 square miles is vast, and no one approach will work.
For
that reason, Cultural Blueprints sessions will be convened in each
region of the state, beginning in Long Island on September
16th.
Please consult the adjacent schedule to find the session nearest you.
This website is a statewide community meeting place
to broaden and deepen the Cultural Blueprints conversation, before,
after, and even during the sessions themselves. Whether or
not
you attend a session, you can make use of the web-site to share your
ideas about how creative sector can contribute even more meaningfully
to economic development in this great State.
Be sure to
check here regularly to see the Blueprints unfold in your region, and
many thanks for visiting the Cultural Blueprints site.
